Healing parental wounds is one of the most challenging and profound spiritual experiences one can undertake. Understanding what it is and how to process and heal is a multi-layered and non-linear process.

If you are on a journey to end the cycle of pain and trauma, it is important to understand the esoteric parts of what humans experience in the physical world as childhood trauma caused by parental wounds.

Keep reading to understand these spiritual aspects of parental wounds and how you can heal your inner child.

What is a parental wound?

A parental wound can either be a mother wound, a father wound, or both. This wound emerges when a child’s actual experiences contradict the belief system that their external protectors should love and safeguard them.

This is one of the main victimizer mind control programs among others, running through humanity that causes excessive damage to the human psyche.

As a child, you are intrinsically connected to your parents, who represent the spiritual father and mother aspects in your external or physical reality. This connection forms a universal triad: father, mother, and child. However, when this triad is not in harmony, it results in profound trauma and pain.

Why are some parents so abusive and insensitive?

When parents(any human for that matter) operate in an unconscious or “sleep” state, they become susceptible to inorganic( that which is not natural, innate, or one’s own) or negative programming. As a result, this programming takes control of their psyche. This means that, they operate the negative programming on autopilot.

This is why they lose sight of right and wrong. They have zero discernment as to what is right, wrong and what belongs to them(on a soul level). This is permanent(or rather cyclic) if they do not wake up from this state.

Waking up is possible only when one becomes aware of their free will and goes onto do shadow work. In other words, becoming self-aware is the key.

Remember that this is not a justification for what happened to you as a child or their actions. However, deeper understanding and learning how to alchemise your experience brings closure and healing. For the same reason, waiting around for them to understand your wounds and feel remorse is never going to happen unless they awaken or heal.

Understanding how to heal the inner child from parental wounds

Remember that healing parental wounds or any other form of wound is a non-linear process. This means it may not happen in the orderly steps you expect.

You may repeatedly uncover deeper truths of what you thought you understood, as your consciousness begins to expand. Embrace the journey and be kind to yourself.

Shadow Work

All of the wounds and neglected aspects of you are stored as or in your shadow self. You have to uncover it all one by one in order to facilitate the process of healing. There’s no shortcut here, unfortunately.

Shadow work is essential to truly accept and love all of the shadow aspects of oneself. Read Self Love and Its Role In Healing to gain deeper insights.

Understand The Triad

Every person is three in one; father, mother, and child, symbolizing the union of divine feminine and masculine energies within us, giving rise to unity consciousness. This means that within you lies the capacity to heal your inner child by nurturing your inner mother and father.

Purpose

Understand that this external dissonance of parent-child relationship serves a greater purpose in the evolution of your soul. These experiences force you to find your harmony within, which is a form of self-mastery. This is essential in the process of ascension.

Taking Responsibility

It’s natural for a child to depend on their parents to acknowledge the pain caused and take responsibility for the wounds.

However, this expectation will only hinder your growth. Every soul is at a different stage of evolution, so accept where they are and understand that they may not be able to meet you where you are.

You must take full responsibility for healing your wounds without relying on those who caused them.

Forgiveness

Forgive them with a sense of gratitude for the intense spiritual lessons they have taught you. These are karmic contracts meant to aid your spiritual evolution.

By mastering the lessons through forgiveness and your own healing, you can consciously release these contracts and free yourself from the karmic cycle.
